B-Tech for Working Professionals
B.Tech is a graduate-level program that falls under the engineering field. It takes 3-4 years to complete this program. In this program, students learn various technical subjects, including physics, chemistry, mechanics, programming, data structures, and engineering. During the program, students learn various industry-relevant skills like programming, different software, analytical skills, research skills, etc. B-tech cannot be pursued in Online or Distant mode, that’s why the Government introduced a way to solve this issue in the form of WILP (Work Integrated Learning Program). Therein, working professionals who have a 3-year diploma/polytechnic in engineering and one/two years of experience pursue this program. Students exchange their ideas with the experts and teams while working on different projects. This program is designed in such a way that working professionals can apply the stuff they are learning in the program. It is slightly different from the part-time program.
Why should you pursue this program?
Practical-Based – This technical program is specially designed for working professionals so that they can apply what they have learned in their jobs simultaneously. It gives them an advantage over regular students in this case.
Affordable – WILP mode provides students with relaxation in terms of fees to easily accomplish their studies. Its fees are comparatively lower than the regular program, and the students can proceed with the No Cost EMI option.
Flexible – It provides flexible timings to the students by organizing the classes on weekends/evenings/part-time at the students' convenience.
Job-oriented – This program seems more practical by providing hands-on learning so that the students get the skills that are relevant to the work and industry.
Demanding Job – This is one of the evergreen jobs around the world. According to the data sources, Engineers who are freshers make Rs 4-5 LPA and experienced are make RS 6-10 LPA, depending on their skills.
Having Experience – If you have done your 3-year Diploma in Engineering and have one year of experience, then you are eligible and can get admission into the 3rd semester of B.Tech for Working Professionals at your desired university.
For whom is this program suitable?
Want to switch careers – Students who have completed their graduation in the B.Sc. or BCA but want to excel in the engineering field for any reason. It could be their interest, handsome salaries, future scope, etc.
Having a full-time job – Students who are working full-time but want to pursue a technical course like B.Tech can opt for the WILP method. Because it assists them in pursuing a degree program with flexible timings, so that they do not have to leave their job.
Salary increment – Having a diploma is not enough to get a decent job, that is why students pursue degree programs to get the dream packages in their field. After the diploma, students are offered Rs 2.5 LPA, which is not appealing.
Having an interest in engineering – Students who want to pursue Engineering as a career but cannot afford the regular colleges due to expensive fees and their full-time jobs.
